Course Description:

 

Dr. Hedges’ award-winning book/course covers current legal and ethical concerns from the standpoint of limiting the liability of the practicing psychotherapist.  Of particular interest is his work on the genesis and prevention of false accusations, especially those that stem from primitive transferences onto the trust relationship. Standards of care, the management of transference and countertransference issues, documentation, recovered memories, and boundary issues will be discussed. Extensive handout materials and a computer disc with twenty-five essential forms for your office will be provided.

The 2003 update will include HIPAA Compliance information and forms as well as custody evaluation guidelines and forms.
